After such a long layoff from the outdoors, many of us are feeling understandably unsure about our pathway back to the hills. Our #ReturnToTheHills series offers a selection of days out on the more amiable Munros, where you can (re-)build your fitness, skills and confidence under supportive instruction and in the company of like-minded individuals. Also a great “gauge” to see where you are at ahead of future, bigger days out.
A wonderful day out easily accessible from Central Scotland. The first Munro: Beinn Vorlich, is an easy plod, with difficulties and interest increasing on continuation to Stuc a’Chroin. Depending on the weather and group’s interest and abilities, we may take in some light scrambling to (re-)build confidence in our footwork and movement.
Learn, hone and rebuild: Confidence, Ability and Fitness
The trip will be run by a qualified Mountain Leader (ML) who can lead, guide and instruct you throughout this day, offering encouragement, coaching, knowledge and tips throughout. You will be in the safest of hands, allowing you to focus on gaining what you need from the day to give you the confidence to get back out there again with confidence and security.
Group sizes are kept low to maximise your safety, learning and enjoyment.
A basic standard of fitness is required for this introductory day ⛰️
